Meet Our Ministry Team

Our Pastor

Rob Rosenbalm

Rob is the product of Fairfield West Baptist Church. As a young man just out of high school, Rob's life was changed in one particular church service. It was then that Rob surrendered to God's call of ministry and transferred from Miami University to Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Upon finishing his degrees, Rob received an invitation to come back home and join the Fairfield West ministry team as youth pastor. In the year 2000, Rob was invited to serve as the senior pastor where he has continued to serve until the present.

Rob also serves as the Fairfield Fire Department Chaplain and a member of the Clergy Crisis Response Team. Fairfield’s Clergy Crisis Response Team was organized to support citizens who encounter traumatic events within the community. Recognizing that tragedy is not a respecter of persons, Rob helped in establishing Fairfield’s first comprehensive chaplaincy program which assists first responders in an emergency crisis, as well as extend an opportunity to be Jesus to those in need.

Rob is married to Jessica, the teenage love of his life. They met through ministry events here at Fairfield West. Clearly the church has had a more profound impact on Rob personally than professionally. Much of Rob's success in ministry is a direct result of Jessica's investment in his life.  Together Rob and Jessica have 3 children; Jordan, Tanner and Madison.

Rob has a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry and Bible through Baptist Bible College.  Also, Rob is a seminary graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia and has received a Master of Arts in Religion, a Master of Religious Education with an emphasis in leadership and a Master of Divinity.

Our Family Life Pastor

Ben Hays

Ben grew up in church and trusted Christ as a child. It was his intention to graduate college, get married and serve God in a local church much like his parents before him. While on a mission trip to Belize, God called Ben to full-time ministry. Ben fought the call for months, but in February of 2011, just months before graduating college and getting married, Ben surrender to full-time ministry. Ben joined the Fairfield West team in 2014 as an intern to learn ministry in a hands on way while pursuing a master’s degree in ministry. In 2016, Ben joined the team in a full-time capacity as the Family Life Pastor and Worship Director.

Ben married his high school sweetheart Christine who is a huge part in Ben’s ministry. In 2015 they added their daughter Penelope and are actively praying for her to follow God with her life. It is their goal to serve God and the people of Fairfield West Baptist Church as a family.

Ben grew up in Cincinnati and he calls this area home. He has a B.A. of Communications from the University of Cincinnati. Ben is a hometown guy, he cheers on the Reds, Bengals, and Bearcats all year long, unless college basketball is involved then the Tarheels are his team. He believes that Fairfield West can be a catalyst of change in this area and has a burning desire to see his home town reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Church Planters

Steve and Ally Schick

Stephen developed a heart for the mission of God in 2004 when he visited the world’s largest orphanage in India. This experience changed how Stephen views the church and Christianity.

Stephen has ministered to the families of Fairfield for the last 8 years. During this time Stephen has been confronted with the issues of homelessness, bullying, suicide, drugs, and even murder. He has seen how these issues affect teens, families and the community. Stephen has learned how to reach students and parents at their point of need, expose them to the gospel and equip them for a life of

Stephen holds a B.S. in Youth Ministry,  a M.A.R. and Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary.

Ally was raised in a Christian home in the suburbs of Chicago. In fact, she is the daughter and granddaughter of pastors. Her experience in a Christian home led her to a place where she knew a lot about God at a very young age, but had never truly surrendered her life to a real faith in Jesus.

This moment came in 2004 at Lift camp while serving as a counselor. Ally realized that she had been trying her best to “work” her way to God, but had never surrendered her life or heart to Christ. At this moment, she overcame her pride and trusted Jesus as her Savior. That moment changed her life.

Ally attended Liberty University, where she studied Youth Ministry and became a member of her dorm leadership team. She served in Jr. High Ministry and also led worship. Ally graduated from Liberty in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Religion and married Stephen 20 days later.

Ally and Steve have been approved as North American Mission Board missionaries and are in training to plant a church.  We are excited about how God is using them and our ministry to further the gospel in communities that need a faithful witness.

Our Missionary
